Under the Peach Tree - Laken’s Story

Laken reached out to me just before their second baby was born. In her message, she shared the sweetest story—when she and her husband got married nearly a decade ago, they planted a baby peach tree in their backyard. Over the years, that tree grew right alongside their family. It shaded them through long summer evenings, watched their first baby learn to walk, and now stood ready to welcome their second.

They’d spent countless nights sitting beneath its branches, playing in the grass, and picking its fruit each spring. So when Laken said all she wanted were family photos under that very peach tree with the newest member of their family, I knew exactly what she meant.
