FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN MADISON, WISCONSIN

Real moments artfully captured for real families.

Documenting the simple, messy, ordinary moments that don’t feel special until time makes them so… mornings around the house, the way they fit perfectly in your arms.

You think you’ll remember, but life moves fast.

We document the details so that years from now, when your kids are grown, you can look back at photos of your family and remember exactly what these early days felt like.

I’ll guide you enough so you never feel unsure of what to do — but always in a way that keeps the focus on your family’s connection.

I’M MADISON

A woman holding a toddler on a bed, looking out the window with their older child sitting besidethem.

I’m a lifestyle photographer based in Madison, Wisconsin.

I’m also a knitter, thrifter, wife to my favorite person, and soon-to-be mom to our first baby. My husband and I moved from Texas to Wisconsin, knowing no one but each other, and we’ve built a quiet, beautiful little life here.

Growing up in a loud, close-knit family taught me to see the beauty in real, imperfect moments, the laughter, the chaos… That’s what photography is for me: a way to slow down and preserve the fleeting, everyday magic that often moves too quickly to keep.

More about me.

FAQs

  • My clients typically book at least 2-3 months in advance, especially for weekends or busy seasons. My schedule tends to fill up quickly, and I’d hate for you to miss out on a spot. The earlier you book, the more likely we’ll find the perfect time for your session.

  • As fun as it is to send my families a lil taste of what’s to come, each image goes through 3 different edits before finding its home in your inbox. Keeping all of the images together through each step creates consistency through your final gallery and if I were to send one out before the final edit, it wouldn’t be complete.

  • As much as you can prepare for your newborn's arrival, let's be real… they’re a little unpredictable. The good thing is that our session is totally flexible!! As long as you keep me in the loop, I should be able to accommodate you and your newborn whether they’re a week early, or a few weeks early!

  • Yes of course! I’m pretty flexible with payment plans, just get in touch and we can talk about what best suits you!

  • I consider my greatest strength to be working with kids of all kinds… it’s actually one of the reasons why I chose to pursue this whole family photography thing! All of my sessions are kid-led. If your kids want to play, we play. If they want to explore, we explore. If they’re feeling cuddly, that’s the perfect time to catch unprompted hugs + kisses. I definitely get one or two family portraits of everyone looking - but most of the time it’s not my main focus!

  • Absolutely! My session fee covers any travel 30 miles from my home in Madison, Wisconsin. Wanting me to travel further than that? Reach out to chat about travel pricing!

Alternatively, families across Wisconsin come to me for photos that feel like their real life, so if you’d like to skip the travel fee and are up for a little adventure, you’re more than welcome to bring your crew to me!

  • Unfortunately bad weather is bound to happen and does happen when shoots are booked. I will likely get in touch with you a few days before our shoot to discuss potential options. I don't like to call off shoots too early as the weather can be so unpredictable and changes all the time. However if we get to the day before or the day of our shoot and we both decide it isn't suitable to go ahead, we will reschedule. Your deposit will be transferred accross to the new date.

  • Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. The deposit is non-refundable as this helps to protect my business due to turning away all other bookings for your chosen date. I hope you understand that deposit is insurance for my business to stay afloat in the event of a cancellation.

  • Once you decide which session type is the best fit for your family, drop me a note through myinquiry form. Once we sort out the details, I’ll send over a comprehensive questionnaire that will help me get to know your family. From there, I can be as hands on as you’d like as we plan your perfect family session. From there, all that’s left is to show up and love on your babies as I work in the background to document the day.
